A Group Ride to the top of Bar Beacon and back.

Route Description
Starting and finishing from the church car park on Perry Common road the first part of the route follows busy urban roads and bus routes, including a section of B road that is dual carriageway and a large busy traffic island.
Riders should be confident on the road and in traffic, comfortable taking primary position and adhere to the highway code.
The route climbs 500ft over the first 4 miles to the top of Barr Beacon before using B roads to descend to the Rushall Canal. Descend the steps onto the towpath which can be muddy and narrow in places. Follow the Rushall canal and the Tame valley canal to Brookvale Road where there is a short section of dual carriageway before heading back on a traffic free NCN route.
