We are past the Winter Solstice and the days are getting longer. We have a few months of winter still to get through. Let’s keep active and get through them together, with our bikes & buddies.

Come with us to explore the nooks & crannies of Birmingham City and the surrounding areas. Enjoy the daylight and company in a welcoming group. If you aren’t too confident with distances or your bike; don’t worry we can help & support you.
We will meet at Cafe Nero in Brindley Place at 10am. This is where we will start and end. There will be a different route and area to explore on each ride.
We will be riding for 2 to 3 hours. Expect to cover 10-20km. It will be an easy-breezy pace so please don’t panic about fitness. We want to chat, not die. The emphasis will be on exploring and discovering. Plenty of stops and photo opportunities.
Routes will be on the canals and bike paths where possible. We will be riding the occasional road.
Nothing too steep or Lumpy Bumpy. Dress for the weather, bring a tube, or puncture repair kit and bring snacks and a hot drink. If we do have a mechanical you will be stood around in the cold whilst we fix it. Bring a spare layer.
We hang around for coffee and a chat at the end of the ride.
Rides will take place on:

Sunday 12th January 2025
It was cold! 3-4 degrees. The bitey cold from the previous week had gone so it was less of a shock. It was great to see the crew again and be rolling around Birmingham. It feels like 2024 was challenging for many of us and it was nice to be talking life and bikes as we explored the land scape and the southern suburbs of Birmingham.
It was a nice easy 19km. The route is available on OS Maps if you fancy following our tracks. Click on the image for the link to the Ordnance Survey:

Sunday 9th February 2025
It was cold and grey, but that is the point of these rides, to create a bit of warmth and sunshine. During February the Ordnance Survey are challenging people to get out or the Gym and into the outdoors for and we joined in by checking out the free, outdoor gym equipment in Sandwell Valley. A nice easy 8km pedal out to the park (16km round trip) along the canals along a traffic free NCN Route 5.

The Bicycle Adventure Club is a Community Interest Company. Whilst these rides are free to attend the Club isn’t free to run. Any donation you can make is gratefully received. It goes towards the running costs, keeping rides & resources free. Thank you.
